Our Story

Triceys DC opened its doors on September 15, 2022. We are an Afro-Caribbean restaurant with influences of Southern cuisine. Founded by Chef Dontay, a DC Native, his cooking is from the heart and soul, a trait he developed at a young age while standing at his grandmother's and mother's sides in the family kitchen. For him, this passion is reflected best in his dishes which showcase southern cuisine. His ability to produce well prepared dishes with a homestyle twist, while maintaining authentic flavors, speaks volumes about his enthusiasm and ingenuity for creating a satisfying and savory dish.

In the short time we have been open our food has garnered praise and recognition throughout the city. Some of our best-selling dishes are Mild Jerk Chicken, Fried Cabbage, Homestyle Baked Mac & Cheese, and Jollof Rice.

Come join us at our Sycamore & Oak Location on the grounds of the former St. Elizabeth Campus!
